A zinc coating of total mass 275 g/m² (both sides) is sufficient for internal floors in a non-aggressive environment, unless otherwise specified in the contract documents, depending on service conditions. According to § 7.3.1(8) of EN 1994-1-1:2004, the effect of curvature due to shrinkage of normal weight concrete need not be included when the ratio of span to overall depth of the beam is not greater than 20, unless specifically required by the contract documents.
