The Dilien company was founded in mid-1941, when Jozef Dilien started a hardware store as a blacksmith and grew into an important metal constructor for industrial buildings. In 1973, Pierre Diliën and his wife Marie Josee Gielen took over the company.
Since 2000, the company has been located in the Centrum Zuid industrial zone in Houthalen and employs around 50 workers and 20 office staff. After gaining the necessary practical experience in the workshop and in administration, the three sisters Els, Inge & Ann took over their parents' business in 2017. Their husbands Wim Vandyck and Kenny Banken are also active in the family business.
Over the years, it has developed various specialities and continuously expanded its range of activities. It carries out a wide variety of metal and aluminium work for both the public and private sectors.
